Wrapped in Prayer. Held in Hope.
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry is an ecumenical gathering of neighbors who come together with yarn, prayer, and open hearts. Stitch by stitch, shawls are lovingly created for those walking through illness, grief, uncertainty, or any difficult season of life.
Each shawl is more than a handmade gift. It is prayed over as it is crafted — a tangible reminder that no one walks alone. When words are hard to find, a shawl can quietly say, “You are remembered. You are cared for. You are being prayed for.”
One recipient shared that on especially hard days, wrapping the shawl around her shoulders felt like being embraced by her church family — a physical warmth that carried spiritual comfort. Another described it as “a hug when I needed one most.”
The ministry itself blesses those who create just as much as those who receive. As hands move and conversations unfold, friendships deepen and faith is woven into every thread.
If you or someone you love could benefit from a prayer shawl — or if you would like to join this ministry of presence and compassion — we would be honored to welcome you.
Because sometimes the most powerful prayers are the ones you can wrap around your shoulders.
Come join this ministry on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. You can enter through the doors labeled Fellowship Hall.
