At Nevada UMC, we love the sound of children in worship.
The wiggles. The whispers. The big questions. The unexpected answer back (That's expected from Pastor Michelle)
We are proud to be part of the Big Worship Little Disciples pilot program — a movement helping churches engage children in worship and prayer in ways that fit how they’re actually wired. Kids aren’t an afterthought here. They’re participants.
On Sunday mornings, you’ll find:
A hands-on Children’s Time created just for them
Kid-friendly Bibles and activity resources available in worship
A “Prayground” space where little hands can color, build, and move while still being part of what’s happening
A congregation that smiles when children are fully, beautifully themselves
After worship, kids head to our Kids Zone for Sunday School — where Scripture comes alive through conversation, creativity, laughter, and sometimes a little glitter.
During the year, we keep the fun (and faith) going:
Vacation Bible School every summer
Family-friendly events designed for all ages
Special Christmas Eve and Easter services with take-home elements to spark faith at home long after the candles are blown out
We believe faith grows best when it’s lived together — in church, in homes, in carpools, at dinner tables, and in bedtime prayers.
So bring the kids. Bring the questions. Bring the energy. We’re ready for all of it.
